About KMC

KMC chain company was founded in 1977 and is based in bike production central, Taiwan. Originally the company focused on producing chains for industrial machinery but that quickly changed when KMC grew in popularity and the demand for quality bike chains was rising.

Riders started to recognize KMC for their durable and reliable chains that could be stretched without snapping easily. Through research and development KMC produced chains that were smooth shifting which results in faster riding, less dropped chains and a more fluid feel to the drivetrain. Higher quality chains help to reduce maintenance and increase power transfer. KMC produces chains for various types of bikes, including road bikes, mountain bikes and commuters.
