LOWA began as a small start-up, producing traditional shoes in Bavaria in 1923. With over 100 years of experience, LOWA has grown into an international company specializing solely in footwear. LOWA’s focused on crafting hiking boots and other outdoor adventure footwear that’s great fitting and long-lasting.

Staying true to their focus on footwear, LOWA makes durable and rugged hiking boots for all who hit the trails. Most of LOWA’s boots feature durable leather uppers with a waterproof breathable GORE-TEX lining.

LOWA backpacking boots offer a stable insole and grippy soles for extra support with a heavy pack on your back. LOWA day hiking boots are lightweight and rugged for quick feet on rough terrain.

LOWA’s sustainability initiatives start at the shoe, with a careful selection of materials that don’t include harmful substances. If you zoom out, at LOWA’s manufacturing plant the power is partially sourced from solar panels, a renewable source of energy. On a larger scale, LOWA supports organizations like Worldwide Fund for Nature, and LOWA employees partake in tree planting initiatives each year.
