In 1980, Gerald Kampel and Jürgen Wegner developed the first double frequency transceiver, letting rescuers find avalanche victims easier. Five years later, ORTOVOX introduced their first powder backpack. These two products went on to become iconic ORTOVOX staples still around today, showing the exceptional quality of ORTOVOX gear.
